Liz Geisewite

Artistic Director

Liz Geisewite is a Brooklyn-based conductor, singer, teacher, and choral music enthusiast. She is the Director of Choral Education for the Brooklyn Youth Chorus and  teaches choral conducting at Manhattan School of Music. Previously, Liz taught music and developed curriculum in NYC public schools for more than a decade. She is the current Treble Choir Repertoire and Resources co-chair for the NY chapter of the American Choral Directors Association (ACDA). A student of the Kodály method of music education, Liz has taught Kodály musicianship classes for the National Children’s Chorus (NYC) and studied Kodály methodology at NYU, the British Kodály Academy, and the International Kodály Institute in Kecskemét, Hungary. In 2009, she co-founded Accord Treble Choir, which was selected to perform at the 2012 and 2020 ACDA Eastern Division conferences in Providence, RI and Rochester, NY, respectively. She earned a BA in Peace Studies at Manchester College, an MA in Vocal Performance at Truman State University, and an MS in Education from Long Island University.

 

Adam Podd

Accompanist

Adam Podd is a Vermont-bred, Brooklyn-based music director, pianist, organist, bassist, composer and arranger.  He has worked with some of the top artists and organizations in his field including The Boston Pops, New York Pops, Idina Menzel, Darlene Love, Stephen Kellogg, Milton Delugg, Macy’s Entertainment and The Young People’s Chorus of New York City in such venues as Carnegie Hall, Symphony Space, New World Stages, The York Theatre and others.
