Liz Geisewite

Artistic Director

Liz Geisewite is a Brooklyn-based conductor, singer, teacher, and choral music enthusiast. Brooklyn Treble Choir’s Artistic Director since 2019, Liz serves as the Director of Choral Education for the Brooklyn Youth Chorus and teaches choral conducting at Manhattan School of Music.

Previously, Liz taught music and developed curriculum in NYC public high schools for more than a decade. She is the current President-elect for the NY chapter of the American Choral Directors Association and previously served as the NY-ACDA Treble Choir Repertoire and Resources co-chair.

As a student of the Kodály method of music education, Liz studied Kodály methodology at NYU, the British Kodály Academy, and the International Kodály Institute in Kecskemét, Hungary. She has taught Kodály musicianship classes for the National Children’s Chorus (NCC) and delivered presentations on the use of Kodály methodology in the choral classroom at Brooklyn College, Queens College, SUNY Potsdam, NY-ACDA and the NYC Department of Education.

In 2009, she co-founded Accord Treble Choir, which was selected to perform at the 2012 and 2020 ACDA Eastern Division conferences.


Lily Chien

Assistant Conductor

Lily Chien is a soprano, educator, and assistant conductor with the Brooklyn Treble Choir. She fosters growth in singers by combining her love of choral music with a dedication to vocal development.

She has performed with ensembles such as the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra & Chorus and the Borromeo String Quartet, and brings broad experience in both choral and chamber music. Her performance credits include opera and musical theater, with highlights like appearances with the Disney Theatrical Group at the Manhattan School of Music.

As a Teaching Fellow with Boston City Singers, Lily led community choirs using the Kodály method, which sparked her interest in conducting. She has also attended summer programs such as the American Institute of Musical Studies in Graz, Austria, and was selected to participate in a masterclass with world renowned soprano Barbara Bonney.

Currently, Lily is a vocal coach and active band member at Remnant Westside Church. She holds a B.M. in Vocal Performance from the New England Conservatory of Music and an M.M. from the Manhattan School of Music, where she studied with Professors Karen Holvik and Joan Patenaude-Yarnell.


Annie Stulc

Collaborative Pianist

Annie Stulc (née Flood) is a collaborative pianist and vocal coach who loves the challenge that vocal music presents of combining poetic and musical ideas in performance. Originally from Maryland, she worked extensively with musical organizations in the Baltimore and Annapolis area before moving West to serve as staff accompanist for the Music Department at Gonzaga University in Spokane, Washington. There, she rehearsed and performed with their choirs and vocal music students and was a sought after musical theatre music director and keyboardist with a number of companies in the Pacific Northwest.  Annie was honored to be interim Choir Director at the University of the Ozarks in Clarksville, Arkansas before relocating to Brooklyn in 2023, where she now works as an Executive Assistant with Justworks and plays with BK Treble Choir.

Annie has spent several years as a church musician, holding positions in a number of churches in Maryland and Washington, including the United States Naval Academy, the Baltimore Basilica, and St. Aloysius Church. Most recently, she joined The Church of the Sacred Hearts and St. Stephen in Brooklyn as their Children's Choir Director.

Passionate about the impact of music within a community, Annie has also taught private piano and voice lessons and was active in initiatives that aim to spread classical music and positive change throughout Baltimore. Annie earned her Master of Music in Vocal Accompanying from the Peabody Conservatory of Johns Hopkins University, and her Bachelor of Arts in Music from the University of Notre Dame. When not behind a keyboard, you can typically find her wandering farmer's markets, exploring breweries, and eating pizza.
